BuySShow 36W UV Nail Dryer

Hello, beauties!

I haven't done much painting lately, so I've been wearing my gel polishes more often. I usually opt for fast-curing LED polishes, but recently had the opportunity to try the BuySShow 36W UV Nail Dryer, so I pulled out one of my sad, neglected Shellac polishes, Cream Puff. (Hint: it's a base for some upcoming nail art.)

This lamp is a bright, pretty pink that immediately caught my eye. It comes with a metal cuticle pusher and jeweled acrylic spoon. The lamp has a 120-second timer. I do wish it had other timer settings, but with UV, the majority of my cures will be two minutes, anyway. The inside is wide, but is a little short, so if you have long nails, or spaghetti fingers, like mine, you'll want to be careful not to bump your fingertips against the rear wall.

This lamp does a great job of curing my polish. I always end up with a nice, even cure, and haven't experienced any heat spikes while using it. That's a welcome change, and since there's usually at least one. Win! My nails ended up looking great, with the exception of a couple stray glitters, because I accidentally used the bottle of top coat I keep expressly for glitters and additives...oops!

Lizber Wearable Nail Polish Holder

Hello, beauties!

Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite tools. It's the wearable nail polish holder by Lizber.

It holds polish bottles of nearly all shapes and sizes, including minis. I find it helpful for those awkwardly-shaped bottles that I struggle to hold while turning my hand this way and that to get full coverage, especially near the deep folds on the sides of my nails.

It's comfortable to wear, and easy to get on and off - simply squeeze the tabs on the sides to open it and pull it over the tops of your fingers, not your freshly painted tips. It fits all sizes of fingers, and even fit over my UV protective gloves.

Trust Fund Beauty - I Can't Even

Hello, again, beauties!

Today, I've got another pretty from Trust Fund Beauty to share. This one is called I Can't Even.

I Can't Even is a a pure, deep black. It's easy to work with, and self-levels beautifully. It dries to a high gloss shine.

What's so special about this black polish, you ask? I'll sum it up in two words.

One. Coater.

That's right! I Can't Even is perfectly opaque in a single coat.

I'm wearing it here with some simple stamping using the Ejiubas Geometry stamping plate and Color Club Eternal Beauty.

OneDor Celeste

Hello, beauties!

I had an opportunity to review a cool polish that I thought I'd share with you. I haven't been painting much lately, so it worked out perfectly that I got to try a gel polish.

This is Celeste, by OneDor. You knew it had to be blue or green, right? Celeste is a lovely pastel turquoise. What's different about this gel is that it doesn't require a base or top coat.

Buffing is recommended, but is a no-no for me, so I added an additional coat to hide my ridges and the patchiness that sometimes occurs when polishing extra curvy nails. Shown here is three thin coats. For short and smooth nails, two coats is enough.

So far, it's been five days, and besides a little new growth and a small chip on my Cindy hand, my nails still look great.

If you'd like to check our Celeste, or any of the other pretties in OneDor's lineup, you can find it here.

Trust Fund Beauty - Hollywood Hipster

                                                                                                                                Reviewer Discount

Hello, beauties!

I haven't posted, or even painted for a while, but I'm back with a new pretty from a new-to-me brand. This is Hollywood Hipster, from Trust Fund Beauty.

I'd describe it as a minty green crème, although on me, it leans a bit more turquoise than it appears in the bottle.

It boasts a 7-free formula. The first coat goes on pretty typically of a white or pastel polish, which is to say, it's a little streaky. A second coat is enough to smooth things over, though, which, to me, is better than the average formula of a polish this color.

I'm digging this bright, happy color...you know me and my blues and greens! If you like it, too, you can find it here.
