International Women's Day manicure featuring Carpe Noctem Cosmetics for Nail Whisperer

Hello, beauties!

Tomorrow is International Women's Day! In honor of the day, I've been having fun with the Inner Superheroine series. These pretties are the product of Carpe Noctem Cosmetics for Nail Whisperer, and the first three polishes in this collaboration are currently available here. If you haven't yet seen these pretties, you can check them out in my last post. 

As promised, I'm back with a bit of nail art. For this mani, I used Fierce Mind as my base, and all three polishes, Fierce Mind, Brave Spirit, and Kind Heart, to make my first ever dry marble decals as accents. I figured, for International Women's Day, why not try a new-to-me technique?

Considering this technique was a first try, I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, and I love how well these colors play together. Do you have a favorite in the series, so far?

I know, it's been eons since I last posted, but I decided to dust off the blog with some brand new polishes. Today, I've brought you a look at the first three polishes in the Inner Superheroine Series by Carpe Noctem Cosmetics. This series will be available exclusively through stockist Nail Whisperer. Very appropriately, its release will coincide with International Women's Day, and was created as a means to embrace the universal and myriad strengths of women everywhere, as well as the virtues of self-confidence and self-love. I'll be sure to leave you with the details. Now, on to the pretties! They're all shown here in two medium coats with a glossy top coat.

Brave Spirit - a periwinkle holo with very discrete flakies.

On me, depending on the lighting, Brave Spirit can lean gray, purple, or blue. 

Kind Heart - a delicate pink holo with very discrete flakies. 

Sometimes, Kind Heart appears the softest of pinks, but other times, more mauve, and having a nude appearance on me. 

Fierce Mind - a grey holographic with very tiny and discrete flakies. 

Fierce Mind is also a bit of a chameleon, sometimes appearing concrete gray, and sometimes like silver. 

Emily of Carpe Noctem Cosmetics has always snared me with her vampy and complex shades. With these releases, she's lightened things up, but kept all the complexity. My favorite to wear is Kind Heart, which is a complete surprise to me. It's a shock that I'd take such a shine to anything described as "delicate", but she's shifty, too. Who'd have thought I'd fall in love with a polish that isn't blue, neon, or vampy? I'll soon be posting some nail art using these beauties.
